Misty, her family, and supporters are anxiously awaiting a judge’s decision that would give Misty the right to appeal her conviction and sentence. The grounds are inadequit representation by her first attorney and the failure of her second attorney to launch an appeal before the deadline.
Misy has grown more mature over her six years in prison. She’s used the time to improve herself, btrak her dependence on drugs and get an education. She now works seven days a week at the prison library.
Given a second chance at life outside prison, Misty will make something of herself and be a good member of her community.
