Misty is currently awaiting a judges’s decision about whether she is entitled to a new trial and sentence (if convicted). He first attorney gave her poor legal advice and her second attorney failed to file an appeal on her behalf and the time to appeal expired.
Misty’s grown more mature in her nearly six years in prison. She learned to read and works seven days a week in the prison library. She also overcame her addiction to drugs. All big steps in recovery.
Given a second chance, Misty would do well outside prison and become a contributing member of the community. Her family and friends miss her greatly and want her back home.
